Macabre Archetype is a character building supplement for Danse Macabre. It builds upon the OSR sensibilities of the original game to create more options for doomed Pilgrims traversing a historical medieval nightmare.

• The Profession that a Pilgrim performed before they were condemned.
• The Pilgrim’s Origin, the culture and community that they were raised in.
• The Pursuit that drives a Pilgrim forward or sets them against the Canticum that they serve.

There's new powers! There's (a few) new items! There's medieval woodcut art! There's an absolute vomit of google docs layouting because I am an insane person and have yet to learn.

This is all in the service of helping people build more grounded characters and more importantly, providing quick ways to roll your character up in minutes. You can make zero choices and only roll dice! Or you could play mix & match with tape and scissors!
